Biodiversity

Flora: In the region, near the coast, there are generally salty herbaceous plants in the sandy areas. Laurel (Laurus nobilis), Maple Cut (Phillyrea media), Fig (Arbatus uneoda) plants are found in the central parts of the coastal region. As you move away from the coast, there are bright, leafy, hard oily textured, hairy, small and prickly maquis plants specific to the Mediterranean climate type. The maquis called “garig” are common in this area. Some of these species can be counted as tar juniper, myrtle acacia, arbutus, wild olive (delice) and some shrub type plants.

Fauna: On Patara Beach, 7 km to the east from the mouth of Eşen Stream. with an average length of 25 m. The wide wet strip consists of very fine sized clean sands. This area is the 1st degree spawning area of ​​Mediterranean turtles of the Caretta caretta and Chelonia mydas species.
